A GPS reference for your ride
Mount your phone securely before you ride, then start tracking to see live speed, your max speed for the trip, and total distance. Many riders use a tool like this once, parked, to see how their bike's factory speedometer compares to GPS — not as something to watch while actually riding.
See the GPS vs. vehicle speedometer guide below for why the two numbers usually differ slightly.

Frequently asked questions
- Why does this read differently from my bike's factory speedometer?
- Factory speedometers are commonly calibrated to read a few percent high, partly for manufacturer liability margin. GPS speed reflects your true ground speed, so a small, consistent gap is normal and expected.
- Can I mount my phone and use this while riding?
- Only glance at a phone mount when it's safe to do so, the same as any other device — see the safety notice on the page. Never adjust or focus on it while riding.
- Does it work at highway speeds?
- Yes, GPS speed tracking works across the full range of road speeds under open sky. Accuracy can dip briefly in tunnels or dense urban canyons, same as any GPS device.
